All campgrounds are open as soon as snowmelt allows, but we do not charge fees for campsites until drinking water is available. The opening dates below reflects when we anticipate having safe water available for the campgrounds and when we plan to begin charging for use of the facilities, including campsites, boat launches, and dump stations.

Kenai Peninsula and Valdez

All area parks are open for Day use activities such as hiking and skiing, even though they are posted as Closed. Ski trails will be groomed in various locations as soon as adequate snow depth is achieved. An updated grooming report will be provided once grooming starts.
