A variety of wildlife can be seen throughout Chilkat State Park and the cabin offers nearby access to Chilkat Inlet and a variety of recreational activities to include snowshoeing and back-country skiing in the winter months.

There is no potable water on site. The only source of water will be from snow, which will need to be boiled and treated.

Glacier View Cabin is located in Chilkat State Park on the Chilkat State Park Road approximately 1.5 miles downhill from the Road Gate.

Another option is to boat or kayak to the boat launch area and hike up to the cabin along the road, which is shorter than walking in from the gate.
