50th Anniversary Photo Contest

50th Anniversary Poster2020 marks the 50th anniversary of the founding of Alaska State Parks, and the State of Alaska Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation is celebrated with a 50th Anniversary Photo Contest!

Entrants were encouraged to submit high quality images taken of or within any area managed by Alaska State Parks during any season from any year. There were specific categories for the contest; photos can include, but not limited to:

  • People travelling, playing, resting, or working
  • Plants, Animals, fish, and birds
  • Scenic Views
  • Historic structures or sites
  • Aerial or underwater perspectives

The photo contest ran every month in 2020, beginning on the first day of the month and ending on the last day of the month. Below are the winners from the monthly contests.
