Ft. Abercrombie State Historic Park Master Plan Adopted


On October 4, 2006 the Commissioner of the Department of Natural Resources, Michael L. Menge, adopted a revision of the Ft. Abercrombie State Historic Park Master Plan. This revision supersedes the original plan, adopted in 1973. The revised plan recognizes facilities that have been built, improved or modified in the last 33 years, provides recommendations for future facility development, sets forth guidelines for management, and addresses some of the issues the area is facing with increased visitor use. These issues include improvements at Miller Point, relocation of the campground. and road and trail improvements.
