Alaska State Park Fees

Annual camping passes are no longer available. The program was discontinued in 2004.


Annual passes:
  • Daily Parking Pass: $50
  •    Second Daily Parking Pass*: $25

  • Boat Launch Pass: $100
  •    Second Boat Launch Pass*: $50

  • Disabled Veteran's Annual Camping Pass - Free
  •    Check eligibility requirements.

*Second pass discount for same family at same address only. Third and subsequent day use and boat launch passes are full price.

Passes are good for the calendar year and are honored in most state parks.

Note: Some parks are managed by private firms and do not accept day use and boat launch passes. Contact your local park office for more information. Also see the fee listing by facility for more information.

Individual Fees:

Nightly camping: $10 to $45 per night
Daily parking: $5 to $10 per vehicle
Boat launches: $10 to $20 per day
Sanitary dump station: $5 to $10
Firewood: $8 maximum per bundle where available
Guided tours of historic sites: $6 to $30

Chugach

  Bird Creek Campground:
  • Beluga Cabin, Chugach: $65 per night
  •    Stay limit of three consecutive nights or one weekend per month.
  • Bore Tide Cabin, Chugach: $95 per night
  •    Stay limit of three consecutive nights or one weekend per month.

  Eklutna Lake:
  • Yuditnu Creek Cabin; Sleeps 6-8 adults, $60 per night
  •    Stay limit of three consecutive nights or one weekend per month.

- A change to or cancellation of a reservation for a Public Use Cabin or Ice Fishing Hut must be done 48 hours prior to the beginning date of the reservation. Refunds are not provided for Eagle River Nature Center rental cancellations.

- The original reservation receipt must be presented in order to cancel or change a reservation.

- If the cancellation or change of a cabin reservation is due to an emergency or adverse weather conditions, the 48 hour notification requirement may be waived.

- Without the 48 hour notification, a reservation cannot be cancelled or changed. The rental fees are forfeited and no credit will be issued.

- Credits are good for one year from date of issue and can be used one time only and must be presented when making a new reservation.
