Alaska State Parks Trail GPS Files

The Alaska State Parks Trail GPS Files contain GPS tracks of the managed state park trails, GPS waypoints of major trailheads, and GPS waypoints of campsites and Public-Use Cabins along the trail systems. Use of this data will require software that allows you to view and possibly edit the data. Most GPS units include software (i.e. Garmin MapSource) that has these capabilities. Many of the files are to large to directly download to a GPS receiver, and data of interest may need to be extracted and transferred to the receiver prior to venturing out on the trails. The file types are .GPX (or the GPS file exchange type), this is the most compatible GPS file type and will work with most recreational grade receivers. If you are having difficulties with the data, consult your GPS users manual.

This data is for reference only, Alaska State Parks makes no guarantees on the accuracy of the data, and the State of Alaska is not liable for how this data is used (full disclaimer below). Use this GPS data at your own risk!
