welcome
Welcome to the Department of Natural Resources. Our mission is to "Develop, Conserve and Enhance Natural Resources for Present and Future Alaskans." DNR staff are committed to serving you, the public by being stewards of the natural wealth of the State of Alaska. Resource development is an important part of the economy of our state and it is our goal to ensure that this economic opportunity is developed and preserved for all Alaskans, both now and in the future. We are involved in the management of resources ranging from the largest state park system in America to its largest oil field.

DNR has a wealth of information about our state's natural resources, opportunities for the public to enjoy these resources, resource development opportunities, and programs promoting wise stewardship of these resources.
