Grant Recipient Requirements

Recipients of Alaska Historic Preservation Fund (HPF) grants must follow all grant management terms and conditions. Resources to help you manage your award—including reporting instructions, financial management guidance, and communication tools—are available in your grant materials and online.


Project Compliance

  • All funded projects must follow the scope and objectives outlined in your approved grant agreement.

  • Any changes to project scope, key personnel, or budget require prior written approval from the Alaska State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO).

  • Modification requests must:

    • Be in writing.
    • Be submitted to your SHPO grant administrator before implementation.

Reporting & Close-Out Deadlines

Interim Performance Reports & Reimbursement Requests
Submit reimbursement requests and narrative reports on a regular schedule as directed by the Grant Administrator to maintain compliance and audit readiness.

  • Due 30 days after the end of each quarter:

    • Jan-Mar: Due April 30
    • Apr-Jun: Due July 31
    • Jul-Sep: Due October 30
    • Oct-Dec: Due January 30

Final Report

  • Due within 30 days of the grant’s performance end date (see your executed grant agreement)

  • Must include:

    • Final performance report
    • Final Deliverables
    • Final reimbursement request
