Vessel Removal Tools

In May 2025, the Alaska legislature repealed the Derelict Vessel Prevention Program Fund, leaving the DNR without any dedicated fund for derelict vessels removals. However, the Derelict Vessel Act, as outlined in AS 30.30, remains in effect. Alaska Statutes under AS 30.30 give municipalities and DNR the authority to impound derelict vessels and enforce the provisions of the act. If you have specific questions about removing a vessel in your area, please contact us.
