Public Notice: Anarraaq-Aktigiruq Exploration Program Amendment and State Draft Decision

Public Notice Start: September 5, 2025, at 8:00 AM
Public Notice End: October 6, 2025, at 5:00 PM

On September 5, 2025, the State of Alaska released amendment documents for the Anarraaq-Aktigiruq Exploration Program (AAEP) for proposed modifications to their active authorizations along with the following draft decisions for a 30-day public review and comment period.

TAI is requesting approval to amend the current Plan of Operations and Reclamation Plan to relocate the location of the approved North Portal and Camp Pads to a site approximately four miles south along the access road to improve safety and underground efficiency. The proposed South Camp Pad will reside on NANA land with supporting facilities for water treatment, laydown yard, shop, and the camp. The South Portal and Pad will reside on state mining claims, which will include areas for waste rock and fuel storage. The proposed facilities are required to support a multi-year underground exploration program to identify a sufficient mineral resource that could sustain a conventional mining and milling operation.
