- In recognition of the immense (service, permitting, and coordination) opportunities and need for streamlining, the ABO is proposing incentives for signing in with OPMP (check the box and obtain points in scoring; recall OPMP compliments applicants, contractors, and others)
- Additionally, for signing in with OPMP, the ABO is proposing there would be no cost to awardees for OPMP services (the ABO would cover the cost)
- Additionally, ABO is proposing to provide resources to State agencies for permitting
Broadband Program
This new program is to implement a multi-agency permit coordination effort to streamline authorizations for broadband projects funded through the U.S. Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) also known as the U.S. Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) and the U.S. National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
OPMP is leading development of this Program, in coordination with State and Federal agencies, with goals of:- Keeping projects on schedule, avoiding increased costs, creating certainty, and resolving challenges.
- Efficiently advance responsible project construction and operations to complement the State’s policy goals of broadband deployment Statewide.
OPMP looks forward to playing a crucial role in ensuring that the tight timelines for the permits from State, Federal, and local agencies, and private entities that are needed for these projects are met.
Please contact Ashlee at any time with questions about how OPMP can help your project.
