South Side Improvements
Project Description
The Southcentral Region Office (SCRO) is exploring options to move into phase II and develop the south side of the Kasilof River Special Use Area. The development would address access and sanitation issues associated with the Kasilof River Personal Use Fisheries. There will be a public notice period from May 18, 2017 to August 31, 2017. The public is invited to review the provided preliminary concepts and comment to the SCRO by the end of the comment period. After the close of the comment period SCRO will carefully consider all comments received prior to deciding on a final concept plan.
Project Location
The proposed project areas are on state land along the east and west side of Cohoe Beach Road, approximately one mile south of the Kasilof River.

June 15, 2017: Public Meeting at Anchorage, Atwood Building Room 102
August 31, 2017: Written Comment Period Closes
Fall of 2017: Site Plan Finalized and the Design and Engineering Process for Construction Begins
Fall of 2018: Construction of Site Plan on the South Side of the Kasilof River
