Our Conservation & Development Partnership
Partnerships with other conservation agencies are an integral part of the accomplishment of the Department of Natural Resources’ mission
A key federal partner is the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) which provides technical assistance to soil and water conservation districts.
The Alaska Association of Conservation Districts (AACD), a non-profit organization, was formed with a representative from each soil and water conservation district to serve the districts administratively.
Alaska’s soil and water conservation districts belong to the National Association of Conservation Districts (NACD) whose mission is to “serve conservation districts by providing national leadership and a unified voice for natural resource conservation.”
The NRCDB belongs to the National Association of State Conservation Agencies (NASCA) whose mission is to serve America’s conservation agencies.
