Alaska has over 1,000 farm operations on more than 850,000 acres of production farmland and is growing! Of our farms, more than 580 are active members in the Alaska Grown program, a large majority of which are family owned. Fertile soils, pure glacier water, long daylight hours, hard work, and pride are Alaska's recipe for creating some of the finest agricultural products on the market. In keeping with its motto "the Last Frontier", Alaska's soil, water, and air are as clean today as they were thousands of years ago.
