The Office of Project Management and Permitting (OPMP) provides coordination, project review, and permitting assistance for major transportation projects that require:
- Review of environmental baseline data and data collection programs,
- Pre-application review of information and data required and/or requested from state resource agencies,
- Consolidated state agency comments on NEPA and environmental management system documents
- Coordination of permit application timelines with NEPA timeframes,
- Contract with third-party consultants if the technical expertise required to adequately review elements of the proposed project does not exist within the state resource agencies,
- A single point of contact to work with in developing an integrated workplan and schedule for phases of project permitting.
