Overtime
GGU overtime eligible Employees are eligible for overtime once they have WORKED 37.5 hours in one week. Exempt and SU overtime eligible employees are eligible for overtimeafter they have WORKED 40 hours in one week. Those hours between 37.5 and 40 hours worked in one week are paid at straight time. The Fair Labor Standards Act establishes criteria for overtime eligibility.
An agreement can be established between the State and the Union to allow for payment of overtime to non overtime eligible emplyees under negotiated conditions.
Scheduling
DNR employees are encouraged to use the State of Alaska CorporateTime calendar. This will allow other spill responders to view the schedule of the members of the DNR Oil Spill User List, and will enable them to schedule meetings and availability with minimum impact. If you do not have CorporateTime installed on your computer, submit a CIC helpstar request for this service.
