On-Line Cabin Reservation Information
The on line reservation system can be found by logging onto the Alaska State Parks web site, choosing a cabin, and then checking the cabin reservation calendar. Online Cabin Reservation Instructions
Alaska residents will be able to make reservations 7 months in advance of their first night stay, and non-residents 6 months in advance of their first night. For example: If an Alaskan resident wants to reserve a cabin for July 4, they can make the reservation on December 4. Non-residents must wait until January 4 to make their reservation for July 4.
Customers may make on line cabin reservations on a daily basis beginning at 10:00 a.m. Alaska time. However, advance reservations cannot be made during weekends or State holidays. They can only be made the next business day. On line reservations that are being made for dates less than 6 to 7 months in advance can be made 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Other changes to cabin reservations include:

Customers must continue to make phone or in person contact at one of the two DNR Public Information Centers (PIC) located in Anchorage and Fairbanks.
A cabin credit will be issued for reservations that are properly cancelled or changed. The credit is valid for 1 year from the date of issuance and may only be used one time to reserve a cabin or ice hut for a later date.
The introduction of this new on-line cabin reservation system does not replace the current system of making cabin reservations either in person, by mail or by fax at any State Parks office or PIC.
Reservation requests received in person, by mail or fax will continue to be processed on a daily basis from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Alaska time, excluding weekends and State holidays.
