 How to Get There:
Five miles from the Juneau airport and twelve miles fron downtown Juneau in the Mendenhall Valley. Take Egan Drive to Mendenhall Loop Road. Off Mendenhal Loop Road, follow Glacier Spur Road to the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center. The trail begins at the visitor center.

Trail Description:
The trail is a barrier free paved trail with rest stops and an overlook with seating at its end. It is approximately 1/4 miles long and has parking at the Visitor center. Photo Point Trail provides access along a rock peninsula that juts out into Mendenhall Lake and ends with a spectacular view of the Mendenhall Glacier. The glacier is the only road-accessible glacier in Southeast Alaska. Hikers can experience post-glacial terrain while being "face-to-face" with the Mendenhall.
