DNR has organized a series of public presentations which will provide information on how state and federal agencies evaluate mine projects in Alaska.   Join us for an evening to learn and ask questions about The Process for Permitting Mine Projects in Alaska.  Agency representatives will discuss mining fundamentals and the laws, regulations and process that is used to evaluate whether or not to permit a mining project.  The presentations will also be a forum for the public to comment on the process and to make recommendations.

Presentations were held during November 2007 in Anchorage, Fairbanks, and Juneau and announced through a media release (10/31/07).   Presentations are also being planned for 2008 in Homer, King Salmon, Bethel, and Dillingham. The agencies will make every effort to conduct presentations in other interested communities.  Dates and locations will be posted here as they are confirmed.
