Proposed Phase 1 Regulations

Division of Mining Land and Water's has prepared responses to the comments submitted during the public comment period for the Proposed Phase I Regulations of the Knik River Public Use Area.

The Proposed Phase 1 Regulations have now been adopted by the commissioner and have been forwarded to the Department of Law for legal review and additional revision as necessary. It is anticipated that review by the Department of Law will be completed by the end of October. Once approved by DOL, the regulations will be forwarded to the Lt. Governor's office for filing. The regulations will be in effect 30 days after being filed by the Lt. Governor's office.
