Oliktok Pipeline

Caribou crossing near Oliktok Pipeline

The Oliktok Pipeline begins adjacent to the BP Operated Skid 50 near PS 1. The OPL transports natural gas liquids from Prudhoe Bay to Kuparuk CPF-1 to support operations. Kuparuk Pipeline and Olitok Pipeline share the same horizontal and vertical supports between CPF-1 and TAPS Pump Station 1.

OPL crosses the Kuparuk River floodplain and various tributaries as well as Central Milne Creek, East Creek, Sakonowyak River and the Putuligayak River.

In 1984, when the new 24-inch Kuparuk Pipeline was laid, the original Kuparuk Pipeline was converted to Oliktok Pipeline, which now carries natural gas liquids from PS 1 (Skid-50) back to CPF-1.
