Department of Labor and Workforce Development

Support by the Department of Labor & Workplace Development is integral to the work of the State Pipeline Coordinator's Office in oversight of the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System. DOLWD is responsible for protection of worker health and safety, electrical and mechanical inspection and wage and hour administration of TAPS. DOLWD has two individuals assigned to the SPCO; a safety liaison and an electrical inspector.

The DOLWD safety liaison serves as the SPCO program manager for worker safety and is responsible for DOLWD technical and policy objectives.
